What you are signing up to
It is a booked appointment, not a lead.
The difference is the whole product. A lead is a phone number and a hope. This is a named customer who has chosen a slot and knows you are coming.
A job appears near you
The customer has already said what the job is, where it is, and when they are free. You see all of it before you decide.
You accept, and it is yours
First to accept takes it and the slot closes to everyone else. No bidding, no race to the bottom on price, no five tradesmen ringing the same person.
You turn up and price it
Your deposit is released. What you quote, and whether you get the work, is between you and the customer — we take no cut of the job.
What it costs
Nothing, unless you do not turn up.
Every other platform you have used takes money from you before you have earned any. A subscription whether the work comes or not, or credits for a lead that three other people also bought.
Here the only money that moves is a hold on your own card, placed when you accept a slot, released when you attend. It is not a fee and it is not ours — unless you do not turn up, in which case it is forfeited and that is recorded on your profile.
Deposits are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.

Why now
The list is what opens the town.
We open a town at a time
A marketplace with no tradesmen is no use to anyone, so Redditch opens only once enough of you are on the list. Registering is what brings NoFlake to your area.
Your account is already built
The invitation builds it from what you tell us today. No forms to fill in twice.
Nothing to pay, now or to join
No subscription, no membership, and no charge per lead. The only money that ever moves is the deposit you put behind a slot you have accepted.

One email
When we open, you get a single email with a link that is yours alone.

Your account, made on click
Name, area and trade are already in it. You pick a password, and that is the account done.

ID and insurance
A photo ID check on your phone, about two minutes, and a copy of your public liability certificate. These are the same two checks every tradesman on the platform has passed.

You start seeing jobs
Quote appointments near you, with the slot the customer picked and the job they described.
NoFlake is pre-launch. We are recruiting the first group of tradesmen and running a pilot in one town before opening up more widely. We are not going to put a date on this page, because a date we miss is worse than no date at all. When it is ready, you will be told.
What we check
Everyone on the platform has passed the same two checks as you.
That is the point of them. They are quick, they happen once, and they are the reason a customer believes the person turning up is who they say they are.
Photo ID, matched to a selfie
Checked automatically before anyone can take a booking. Confirms a real, identifiable person is behind the profile — not just an email address.
Public liability insurance
A valid, in-date certificate is held on file for every tradesman.
Attendance, every single booking
Reliability score and raw no-show count are both public, and they keep updating. This is the check that never stops.
Trade qualifications such as Gas Safe or NICEIC are not verified by us. They matter for the work itself, which happens off the platform between you and the customer.
Last thing
Four boxes and you are on it.
No cost, no commitment, and no salesman will ring you. If you decide it is not for you when the invitation arrives, ignore it and that is the end of it.
